Our Church is pleased that you are considering the celebration of your wedding and the beginning of your married life together at First United Methodist Church, Texarkana, Arkansas. We are committed to helping make your wedding a wonderfully memorable and sacred experience. It is our hope that our Wedding Policy (available in the church main office) will give you the guidelines needed to make your wedding plans and ceremony go as smoothly as possible.  Our wedding hostess will assist you in all pertinent aspects of the wedding. After reading our wedding policy, the first thing a couple should do upon their decision to marry in our church is to arrange a meeting with the wedding hostess and pastor.

We are a Stephen Ministry Congregation. This ministry helps pastors and congregations provide quality caring ministry for people facing a crisis or life transition by assigning specially trained lay caregivers (called Stephen Ministers) to provide one-to-one Christian Care. Our church is blessed with the equipment needed to record and broadcast our Sunday morning 11:00 service.  We are looking to add to our Audio/Visual Team with both new technology componants as well as people to run them.  If you are interested in learning about how you can be a part of this Team please contact the church office.  No experience necessary!  If you can turn on a TV you can learn how to operate the equipment in our A/V Room!
